San Francisco's iconic Cable Cars are a fun way to get around the city. This historic transport system has been servicing San Francisco since 1873, with three lines in operation today.One-way fares are $6 per person (subject to change). Children under age four ride free. One-day, three-day and seven-day visitor passports are available at a discount and allow riders access to all Cable Cars, streetcars and buses within the city. MUNI Streetcars and Buses -
San Francisco's Municipal Railway (MUNI) operates 80 different public transportation routes throughout the city. Bus and train schedules vary, depending on day and time, but most downtown service starts by 7am. Single-ride tickets, with 90-minute transfers are $2 per person. BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) -

From Hwy 101 North, follow the Bay Bridge signs (Highway 80 East). Exit on Seventh Street. Make a left turn on Seventh Street. Go up five blocks to Market Street. Cross Market Street onto Charles J. Brenham Way (= Seventh Street North of Market Street), then turn right on McAllister Street. -
From Oakland/Berkeley and the Bay Bridge (on Highway 80 West) -
Exit on Fifth Street. Make a right turn on Fifth Street. Turn left on Mission Street. Go to Seventh Street. Turn right on Seventh Street. Go up one block to Market Street. Cross Market Street onto Charles J. Brenham Way (= Seventh Street North of Market Street), then turn right on McAllister Street. -
From the Golden Gate Bridge (on Highway 101 South) -
Follow Hwy 101 South (Downtown) to Van Ness Avenue. Turn right on Van Ness. Turn left on Golden Gate Avenue. Turn right on Jones Street, and right on Market Street.
